Gianna + André, owners of Spirit Healing Arts, an Ayurvedic practice, needed a logo, brand, and website. This was an extensive and noteworthy project (all my projects are noteworthy lol). Learning more about them, and their goals, I knew they needed a special approach. Gianna had a vision of the logo somehow being golden (hard to do digitally!). The feather was an important element to her as well. Starting with paper, I hands-on created components using watercolor and drawing. I then combined the elements and brought them in digitally. The end result captured iridescent hues and tones. Since Ayurveda is rooted in a long time tradition, the serif font with wide margins and letter spacing not the website nod to this. When Gianna showed me the pictures she had—in front of trees (note; most yoga or alternative medicine clients I’ve worked with have photographs taken in front of trees or in nature). I knew these images were too busy and didn’t represent what their brand was shaping into. Their offering is unique—I know they needed a simple calm background for their images. Gianna was coachable and together we worked on getting their images just right. The result still stands to this day.
