This project centered on developing a logo and supporting brand piece for a client seeking a distinct visual identity rooted in contrast—something that felt both distressed and refined. In addition to the logo, I designed a one-page manifesto to communicate the brand’s values in a bold, engaging format.

The Challenge
The primary challenge was balancing opposing qualities within a cohesive system.
Capture a distressed, tactile “stamp” aesthetic without losing a sense of polish
Create a logo that felt intentional rather than overly stylized or decorative
Design a manifesto that could hold a large amount of text while maintaining clarity and visual interest
Ensure both pieces felt aligned in tone and functioned across digital and print formats
Approach
I focused on using typography and texture as the foundation for both pieces.
Selected a typewriter-style font to reference the physical action and character of a stamped imprint
Designed a simple bordered form with distressed texture to reinforce the concept while maintaining structure
Balanced rough and refined elements to achieve a mark that feels both raw and considered
For the manifesto, used varied typography, spacing, and minimal graphic elements to guide the reader through the content
Created rhythm and hierarchy to make dense information feel dynamic and digestible
Outcome
The final result is a cohesive set of brand elements that feel distinctive, tactile, and intentional.
The logo captures a unique balance between distressed and polished aesthetics
The manifesto communicates core values in a way that is both clear and visually engaging
Together, the pieces establish a strong and memorable brand presence across formats
